Antique Shop - Altered project's class by Sharon Ngoo

Made one night escape to Singapore
with Suryanti and Alice last July,
to attend Sharon Ngoo's class.
One night was all we can get
despite the works, deadlines and
the kids' holiday schedule coming up.
*headache*

But look at what we got!
We made a beautiful altered project...
an Antique Shop!
(The shop sign was added by me)
I felt in love with the project since
Sharon first posted a sneak peek about it.

The texture of the metal base for the signs
was thrilling me.
Got these for sometimes,
and now it is perfect to this project.

The details for the doors
that will lead us to the mesmerizing interior
later on inside.

Don't you love the sign on the glass window?

Changed the roof's stripe color to a-bit
more-orange-than-pink papers at home
when I came back.

Okay.
Now, are you ready
to see what is inside the store?

Sharon thought and designed the inside shop
in such astute way,
with a desk counter, shelves, hanging cupboard,
a grandmother clock, stools for chairs
and even a cute bell on the table!
*giggle*
Since the classes are all done,
she already posted hers here.

We dabble in the project with glee,
instantly from the start!
(This is a two-classes-in-a-row, btw)
Yup.
And by the late afternoon,
we managed to finished all the structure
and planned to fill in all the knick knack
later back at home.

Well.
Turn out,
that later back at home
becomes VERY VERY later back at home.LOL.
But when I did have the spare time,
boy
the joy of filling in that little space
really enthralling.
I found many little things that
I kept endearingly for years,
match nicely in scale with this project.
Could you believe that?

Sweet serendipity.

First, this red bike.
It is too big for the configuration box.
And also it is three dimension.
Voila.
Just like that,
it is belong in here.

Magical corner in front of the counter.
First, I wanted to put the sewing machine
on the desk,
but then it feels like a tailor rather than
an antique shop because of the focus
that given to it.

Besides,
I bet not many of you knowing that
the sewing machine can be open!!
Wohooo....

So it is easier to open it
when put in front of the shop.

Zoom back to the shelves..

I still in amaze to find out
that my tiny coffee maker and iron
fit in perfectly on the shelves.
PERFECTLY.
Amazing.
*happy tears*

Mini milk container!!
And of courseee......books and books...

No space will be completed without birdcage.
Well,
in my world that is.

Since the shop belongs to me and my family,
it should be personalized by family portrait,
don't you agree?

Move on to the counter...
Tiny mails and packages..
I add on the camera and writing tools.

The book to record any sales of the days,
a table clock,
and the cute cute cute bell!

Old vintage suitcases are popular in every
antique shops.

The cupboard...
Love the door...love the wood pattern...
Add more books...
and some cleaning tools and key.

Bigger milk container.
Some gardening tools.
Standing bird house.
I put some wire for the stools instead of
thread, imagining a spool that big
usually found at the hardware store
holds for cable, metal wire etc.
Can you spot a broom on the corner back there?

This old (don't know how old) papers
that provided by Sharon were so fragile
that tear up just when we touch them.
Love the drawing.

This altered project holds two mini albums.
One secretly tug inside the cupboard.

The bigger one can be put inside the counter.
But I still trying to make a silhouette portrait
of me and my daughter
to put inside the counter.
So, the album is still waiting outside.

Again,
I very much in love with this corner.
All the stuff look intwine with each others.

Got Sharon's love notes at the door!
*smirk*

Thanks again.
Hope to see you soon, dear ladies.
