Back to School class - group 1 - Jakarta

finally took place on Jan 22th last week
at Gourmet World Kemang Jakarta.
This is the first time for me to split
the same subject for class into two cities,
due to the demand.
This new place where the class being held,
was such a cozy room with long table
enough for all of us,
and incredibly delicious food.
I think I can be here all night long
to scrap if they let me to.

All the pictures here were taken by
Riana Ambarsari, who teaches many
photography classes at NCC,
scrapbookers herself,
and whom I adore for her unique angles
when taking photos, and many many more.
As I always say,
it's not the lens,
but the eyes behind it that counts.

Thank you again, dear,
for giving your whole day for me.

She shot some details of the album
at the cozy room.
I'll post the album & details
which I took in natural light
after the second class
is done tomorrow.

See you soon enough!

Weekend scrapbook classes with Iris Babao Uy

I adore Iris Babao Uy's scrapbooking style
long way back since she won the title
Memory Makers Master, first scrapper from Asia.
So imagine my excitement
when on the way back home from long and tiring
decorating work at Jakarta to Bandung,
I found the news on my iphone
that she will teach
in just about two weeks!

Of course I picked up the phone
and registered on that night!
No matter how crazy the work's schedule are,
I jumped right in to her classes
without second thought.

And I was having much fun
playing with more medium for the pages here.
Iris style is certainly not for
the heart-fainted scrappers.
She also love to get messy fun like me
with all the mixed media excitement.

And the messy fun continued in
making the 7 gypsies artist tray
at the second class.
Will add the family picture later here.

Oh, so much fun!
Time flies in 9 hours.
Especially when meeting and chatting with
many good old friends,
Elvira and Sandra, the Made With love owners,
the place and person who must took
whole responsibility for my first love
in scrapbooking.
Aaaand meeting new friends as well,
like this 'big hearted' girl, Sharon,
who hearted and ordered my owls all and all,
and gave me this sweet handmade gift.

Handmade gift by Made With Love's DT member?
woooohooohoooo....
lots of people envy me....
*evil laugh*

but, the most thrilling news is,
Elvira and Sandra asked me something
that really swollen my heart with joy.
And I said, YES!
Of course I said YES.

Will be back with that news
soon enough.
*wink

I really need some sleep now.

Warung 'Mari Sini' ('Mari Sini' food stall)

Where did the time fly?

It's been two crazy weeks after new year
and here I am tonight,
just have a spare time (and energy) again
to make some new post.

One of the reason for the craziness
is this 'warung' or food stall
called Mari Sini(or in English, Please come!)
owned by my best friend, Muljadi & Marisa,
who also owned Sagoo restaurant.

The deadline for them to open was supposed
to be before new year.
But many delays from the mall,
we just be able to finish this 'warung'
on Jan 11, two days after me and my team
back from Semarang for 3 days.

Talking about full-packed schedule, eh?
*sigh*

In Indonesia, many small food stall like this
which called 'warung' is very common,
but not in the mall.
They usually made restaurants and food court
in the mall for better capacity,
but this small food stall offering
many variety of snacks and yummy fried small dish
with reasonable price to chew on.

Enjoy the ambience!

Enjoy some jokes signs!

Enjoy the oldies snacks
that bring back many sweet childhood memories!

We certainly enjoyed ourself
after the work all done beautifully.
With all those yummy tester food
that flowing endlessly from the kitchen,
oh, my.
Don't forget to try for yourself,
the 'Tahu Gondrong Cocol' and
'Es serut mangga', or you will be so so sorry.

This is a serious warning.

Me with Marisa, the 'warung' owner.
Spend a whole day with my best old friend,
working, chatting, eating, giggling,
eating again,
is always the best kind of day.

From there,
we go straight to Kelapa Gading,
to refresh some decoration for
before the Chinese New Year come.

Crazy days.
