Using my own artist paper

My first layout
using my own artist paper.

Doh.

Tell you something,
this yellow one is my favorite
and also my first try
from the other five in the series.
In the beginning,
I really don't like how the yellow
come out so strong.
(Well, i am not a yellow person)
But after I sprayed turquoise on it
and leave it overnight,
(And singing, whatever will be, will be.....)
I really really love it in the morning.

Never judge the first impression, huh?
And then I have it. Love it.
Then make other five of them.
But I still love this one the most.
(like you love your first born?
that close?)

Hope you like this layout
using this yellow paper of mine.

The journaling at the bottom :
My life is not for the fainthearted.

True enough?
Well.
Remind me of this quote
from Mary Engelbreit:

Experiment.
Be adventurous.
Try a lot of different things.
Who cares if it doesn't work out?
It's only paper!

Sure it is.
It's only paper.
With a big heart from me to you.

Chocolate plus plus - the layouts

The class was over.
Now it's time to get to the pages.
I made three simple layouts
with chocolate as a basic color.

Here is layout one:
Chocolate + dusty pink

I love how the title
slightly overlapped the journaling.

Here is layout two :
Chocolate + moss green

I really love this journaling from Dr.Brene Brown
It is about finding my own story
and not to pair it to anyone else'.
Is it great or what?
So I share this to the class.

Here is layout three :
Chocolate + Vintage blue

Until next project
and next class!

Keep scrapping, you!

The Chocolate plus plus - classroom - 24/04/10

This time, my beginner class for scrapbookers
was take place last Saturday
when I was in the middle of
Inacraft exhibition.
In the chaotic time of packing
and preparing everything,
plus sleep deprived for sure,
I really crossed my finger
and hoped this class could run well.

The class was so full
with two of them who couldn't join us
from Bandung and will pick
another day, and Agnes,
who also from Bandung,
came very late but
still able to made a page.

Then, we all found out that
half of this class were happen
to be 'virgin' in scrapbooking!
(including two of my dear cousins
who finally could make it to my class
after all these times hearing about it,
thank you Ci Junih & Tingnih!)
But they love it.
And I love that they love it.

We had to set another big table
at the back for some of them.

I was explaining how to use Stazon,
which later become favorite thing
for some of them
who used it for the first time.
(Oh, yeah, I HEART Stazon too till now!)

Thank God they all were enjoying
the class, the food, and the result,
three pages of 12x12 layouts
with chocolate colors
of course.....

Here they were in action :
And something made me
very happy that day.
I met some of my blog reader,
who knew my work only from the blog
and decided to join the class,
so we finally could meet face to face!
Thank you Riana, Mba Ami and Revy!
You should go to their blog to admire
Riana's cake and Ami's writing too,
just like I did all these time.

All and all,
I was really glad this class
was giving birth to many new scrappers
who will fall in love with this thing
that filled my blood each day.

I will post the three finished layouts
of 'chocolate plus plus'
tomorrow.

See you again soon, scrappers!

Reporting from the exhibition field.

The Inacraft 2010
-biggest craft fair in Indonesia-
was finally over.
My booth was lucky enough
to accept such warm responds
for the whole four days
from many scrapbookers,
friends and new friends.

I even meet some of my blog readers
here face to face!
So happy and honored.
But this is such a
really really tiring event..
Look at me and my staff's face
at the last day at night
before we packed everything
back home.

Thank you to you all
who come and HEART my handmade stuff.
Hope they will bring smile to your face
and delight to your project.
