Januari 2009 - Life Project

Two weeks ago I did Spring cleaning ritual for my home as I usually do before Chinese New Year come. Moving up some furniture, rearrange everything, painting the kitchen, lots and lots cleaning up and stuff. Then I found these package of decoration stickers that I bought from IKEA - Malaysia the week before..and click...I found the right place to put this!

The wall behind our sofa is still empty, so...all I have to do is pull out all the boxs of pictures and sort out our favorites!Just put the adhesive to the pictures, and add the frame stickers. Another thing I need is probably guts. Because it placed at the living room where every activities are centred here, so we will see it everyday..better make it good, mom! Phew...after one whole afternoon...someone seem enjoy it the most....

Audy said I was succesfully scrapbooked the wall indeed! Well, hun, I think you're right! Love this.

Life Project

LIFE PROJECT

For 2009 I would like to invite you all (and myself) to make Life Project..every month. It can be anything (mini book, frame, decoration for your home, painting, anything...) but as the name said it, it must contain the 'life' that you are in now. It can be in photographs, sketch, drawing, either way you wish to record your life right here right now. Hopefully by the end of the year we all can look proudly to the 12 project of the life we had. I will post mine at the 4th week every month ( Since it supposed to be monthly project, I will do Jan's project in Jan and post it before the month end). If you want to share yours here, kindly put your link-post at the comments below my monthly post so others can enjoy it too.

No pressure.

Just take anything you had now in your desk and make something.

Let me tell you one secret.

I don't like to watch much TV. Even if I did, I watch it while my hand doing something.

A sweet gift

A gift of an award.

The same with I got last month, but this time I got it from my friend from far away, Poland, Aleksandra Chabros, which is also an amazing artist.

About art in life

I found these last night while I cleaning up my table. On the bottom of my pile of books and papers. And make me smile again just like when I received them last month.(At Indonesia we celebrate Mother's Day on Dec 22) And these are not their school's work sheet. They saw it on TV that the day is Mother's Day, and did a quick draw before I got home.

Definitely interested in life.

Focus on the story

A story is becoming a story, only if you share it with others.
By telling it.
By writting it.
So if you have a good enough story to tell, even if only a short one, which only your beloved could understand, tell it.
You don't need to add more than what needed.

Hello, Malaysia

Since my kids have a very looong Christmas Holiday, I planned a holiday trip at the end of high season to avoid cranky and stressfull situation (not to mention a much cheaper rate for tickect and else...). We go on Jan 8th and go back on Jan 12th. For the kids, this is the first time they go abroad. Even though they already experienced going by plane to Bali several times, this time is different. First, about the passport. Then, they don't know where is Malaysia. :-) So we pull out the world map.

Look at these happy faces who gets their first stamp on their passport...(Well, yeah..Nadea is still sleepy...)

We go with our family's best friend. Marisa is my best friend. Her husband, Muljadi is my husband's best friend. And our kids are best friends to each others too. How can this be not exciting?

A quick update

Just come back to Indonesia again.
And wake up to a really chilly day. Non-stop raining until now. Due to Chinese New Year soon, I suppose.
Gladly the kids were still full of excitement of having good times at Malaysia, they do not mind the weather, they are happily went to school this morning even though we got home almost midnight yesterday. I think they just can't wait to tell their friends about their holiday.
I now back to work. Mmm.
Will post the pictures soon.

My daily Journal 2009 - begin

Let me tell you a secret.

Until 2007, I am not a daily journal person. Well, I thought, I am not a high school girl anymore, so I don't need one. Then at the end of 2007, my best friend, Sanny, who made all the effort to drag me to Starbuck every chance she got (hehe,sorry,hun!but, really, I love become a coffee lovers like you by the end of the year!) told me that Starbuck had offered a daily journal with exchange for some stamps, so, look at the cool journal it was, I interested...and together with her, tried to collect all the stamps required.

Yes, of course we got it!

Well, after the journal was in my hand...with all the effort...I thought, will be such a waste if I don't use it. So I tried to filled it in. Day to day. Sometimes daily, sometimes weekly, but basically, it recorded all what happen in my life in simple way. Just write a few lines. Sometimes only pictures will do as well. If I got best quote I will put it there too. Little knick knack, tag, stickers, sign, brochure, anything from my journey will ended here. No wonder it become so bulky at the end of the year!

So, what is the secret, you ask me.

Aside from all the other album and scrapbook I made that also recording my life, I tell you, this is different. You don't have to be perfect, to do the best combination, you just free to record what you thought, what you feel, either you want to show it to other soul or not is up to you, and by doing it for a year and look at back to it again now, I think this is healthy.

Yes, healthy.

Good for your mind.

Good for your soul.

But.

Don't trust me just yet.

Go try it by yourself.
